Ticket Types & Pricing 2026
Salford Pride is excited to welcome back The Pink Picnic for 2026!
Every year, the costs to create this special event grow, and in 2025, we made the difficult decision to introduce ticket charges to help keep the Pink Picnic sustainable for the future. Thanks to your amazing support, ticket sales in 2025 covered 45% of the event’s total costs, allowing us to continue bringing the community together.
This year, with the change in policy of allowing guests to bring a small amount of alcohol back into the event, there are additional costs we need to cover, like extra security, police presence, waste collection, and more bins to keep the space clean and safe for everyone.
To balance these new costs while still making the event accessible, we’ve introduced a three-tier ticket pricing system. Our goal remains clear: to keep ticket prices affordable and ensure everyone in our community can join in the fun.
Here’s what you can expect for 2026 ticket options:
General Admission (16+):
Early Bird: £5.00 + booking fee
Standard: £7.00 + booking fee
On The Day: £10.00 + booking fee
Accessible Admission (16+):
Early Bird: £5.00 + booking fee
Standard: £7.00 + booking fee
On The Day: £10.00 + booking fee
(Please note the booking fee is platform based and is not a fee charged by Salford Pride, we do not receive this fee)
For those wanting a little extra, you can upgrade to our PinkPASS or PinkPLUS tickets, which come with special VIP benefits.
And don’t worry, children under 16 will continue to attend for free, because this event is for all ages!
We understand that changes like these aren’t always easy to hear, and we truly appreciate your feelings. Across the country, many Pride events are facing cancellations due to funding challenges and a decline in sponsorship support.
We often get questions about where the money goes, so we want to be open with you. Delivering The Pink Picnic now costs around £100,000 each year, and every penny raised from tickets and fundraising goes directly into making the event happen.
Any extra funds are used to cover our organisation’s core costs or are saved to help fund next year’s event. Our amazing team is made up entirely of volunteers, and less than 2% of our annual income goes towards covering volunteering expenses.
To keep our organisation strong and financially secure, so we can keep delivering The Pink Picnic year after year, we’ve had to make the tough decision to change our ticketing structure. This is an important step to make sure the event continues to grow, thrive, and bring our community together for many more years to come.
Thank you for your ongoing support and understanding as we work to make The Pink Picnic bigger, better, and more inclusive each year. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
