PRIDE IN NUMBERS
The Pink Picnic has become a cornerstone of Salford’s cultural calendar, the event has grown into a vibrant, family-friendly celebration that brings together thousands of people from across Salford, Greater Manchester, and beyond to honour diversity, inclusion, and LGBTQ+ pride.
Now recognised as Greater Manchester’s largest grassroots Pride celebration, The Pink Picnic continues to grow year after year. Over the next 2–3 years, we’re on track to welcome more than 10,000 attendees, making it one of Greater Manchester’s most significant community Pride events.
From its humble beginnings in 2011, The Pink Picnic has blossomed into a major regional celebration of diversity and inclusion:
2017: 1,500 attendees
2019: Over 5,000 attendees
2020 (Digital Edition): 7,000+ online views
2024: Over 8,000 in-person attendees
Each year, our audience grows in both size and diversity, this is a testament to the event’s strong community connection and the increasing demand for inclusive, positive spaces in Salford.
