Please be advised that Salford Pride will not tolerate any aggressive or rude behaviour towards our team, volunteers, or security, who are there to try and help. Anyone that demonstrates the above behaviour will be evicted from the event.

Accessibility FAQ

Is there accessible/disabled parking?

Yes, accessible parking is available at:

  • Salford Museum and Art Gallery (M5 4WU)

  • Delaney Car Park (M5 4RB)

These are pay and display car parks and cost approximately £2.50 – £5.00 for a 3-hour stay.
Please note: Due to large crowds, there is no parking available inside the park.

Is the site wheelchair accessible?

Yes. The venue is mostly flat and has ramps for easier access.
However, please be aware that the event takes place on grass, which may be affected by wet weather.

Is there seating available?

Yes, seating is provided in various areas across the site. However, it is limited and first come, first served.
If you have specific needs, please contact us in advance at accessibility@salfordpride.org.uk.

You're also welcome to bring your own foldable chairs.

Can I bring medication to the event?

Yes, guests can bring medication if needed throughout the day.

  • All medication must be in labelled packaging with your name on it.

  • Please inform a member of staff or security at the entrance about the medication when you arrive.

Are there tickets for people with disabilities?

Yes, we offer a limited number of Accessible Entry Tickets for guests with disabilities or mobility issues. These tickets include:

  • Access to a dedicated entrance for quicker queuing

  • Please use clear bags to speed up bag checks.

What other arrangements are in place for accessibility?

We’ve put several things in place to support guests with disabilities, including:

  • BSL interpreters on our main stage all day

  • Accessibility Champions in purple t-shirts to assist you

  • Salford Pride staff in branded t-shirts available for support

  • Security and volunteers trained to escalate any concerns appropriately

Accessibility Area

If you are a wheelchair user, have mobility needs, or require pastoral care, you can apply for access to our Accessibility Area, which includes:

  • Accessible toilets

  • Reserved seating

  • Improved viewing of the main stage

General FAQ

Do I need a ticket to attend?

Yes. tickets are needed to enter the event site. Infants under 12 months do not require a ticket.

  • Advance tickets: £5.00

  • On-the-day tickets (from 1:00 PM): £7.00

  • PinkPLUS and PINKPASS will also be more expensive on the day.

👉 Tickets will NOT be sold at the entrance.

Do children need a ticket?

Yes. To help manage capacity, all children need a ticket (free for under 16s).

  • Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

  • Children without adult supervision will be stopped and checked.

  • Infants under 12 months do not require a ticket.

Will there be toilets on site?

Yes. We have a variety of portable toilets across the site, including:

  • General toilets

  • Wheelchair-accessible toilets

  • Urinals

Guests with PinkPLUS or PINKPASS tickets will also have access to dedicated toilets in select areas.

Can I bring a bag or cooler into the event?

Yes, as long as it's no larger than 50cm x 50cm x 50cm.

  • Small coolers and bags with wheels are allowed within this size limit.

  • Bags larger than this will not be permitted.

Can I bring a shopping trolley, wagon or cart?

No. For safety and space reasons:

  • Shopping trolleys, suitcases, and large carts are not allowed.

  • Exception: Carts used for carrying young children will be accepted and treated as prams/pushchairs.

Will there be bag checks?

Yes. All bags will be checked by security at the entrance. To help reduce waiting times:

  • Use a clear bag, if possible

  • Only bring essential items

Can I bring suncream?

Yes. Suncream is allowed, but it must be in a labelled bottle.

Can I bring perfume, aftershave, or deodorant?

Yes.

  • Perfume and aftershave must be in bottles 50ml or smaller

  • Deodorant and aerosol sprays are allowed

Food & Drink FAQ

Can I bring alcohol into the event?

No. Bringing your own alcohol is not allowed.

  • Any alcohol brought in will be confiscated and disposed of at the entrance.

Can I bring soft drinks?

Yes, but with a few guidelines:

  • Drinks must be in cans or cartons only

  • No single-use plastic bottles allowed

  • We recommend bringing an empty reusable bottle to refill at our free water station

  • Single-use plastic items will be confiscated and disposed of

Can I bring food?

Yes, you can bring your own food—but it must follow these rules:

  • No single-use plastic or wrappers (e.g., crisp packets, sweet wrappers)

  • Please use reusable containers like Tupperware, lunchboxes, or cardboard containers

  • Any food in single-use plastic will be confiscated at entry

Optional:

  • Long-life or non-perishable food items may be donated to a local food bank at the entrance

  • Fresh food that cannot be donated will be disposed of

Before you leave:
Please help us keep the park clean by using bins provided around the site.

Can I bring food or drink in single-use plastic?

No. In line with our sustainability plan and government guidance, single-use plastic is not allowed on site.

  • This includes plastic bottles, plastic wrappers, plastic foil and plastic food containers

  • Items will be confiscated and disposed of at the gate

Medical exemptions:
If you need to bring a specific product for medical reasons that doesn’t meet these guidelines, please inform:

  • Security at the entrance, or

  • A Salford Pride team member (wearing branded t-shirts)

Do vendors accept cash and card?

Yes, the majority of food and drink vendors accept both cash and card.

Equipment & Bikes FAQ

Can I bring my bike or scooter into the event?

No, bikes and scooters are not allowed inside the event space for safety reasons.

  • You may secure your bike elsewhere in the park, but this is at your own risk.

Can I bring a pram/pushchair?

Yes, prams and pushchairs are allowed.

  • Please be mindful when moving through busy or crowded areas of the event.

Can I bring a mobility scooter?

Yes, mobility scooters are welcome for guests with accessibility needs.

  • As with prams, please take care when moving through crowded areas.

Can I bring my own gazebo or tent?

No, personal gazebos, tents, or any temporary structures are not permitted.

  • All infrastructure must be installed by Salford Pride’s approved and insured suppliers in line with safety regulations.

Can I bring my own seating?

Yes, you are welcome to bring:

  • Foldable chairs

  • Picnic blankets

Not allowed:

  • Plastic tables

  • Garden furniture

  • Large or bulky items

Please make sure to take all personal equipment home with you after the event.

Dogs FAQ

Can I bring my dog to the event?

Yes, dogs are welcome at the event!

We kindly ask that:

  • Dogs are kept on a lead at all times

  • They are friendly around children and other dogs

  • You clean up after your dog and dispose of waste in the bins provided
