Entry Requirements for The Pink Picnic

Entry Information -

Entry Times:

  • PinkPLUS & PinkPASS ticket holders: Entry from 12:30 PM

  • General entry: Opens from 1:00 PM

  • Last Entry 6:30PM

Queues:
There will be dedicated queues for:

  • PinkPLUS and PinkPASS ticket holders

  • Accessibility ticket holders

  • General ticket holders

Please Note: For 2026, all entry into the event space will be through the main entrance tent. Make sure you join the correct queue, which will be clearly signposted on the day.


Alcohol Policy Update (2026)

Following feedback from the 2025 event, we’ve made a few updates to our alcohol entry policy for 2026.

What You Can Bring:

  • Up to 4 cans per adult on first entry

  • Cans only (maximum size 440ml)

  • Alcohol must be clearly visible at the entry checkpoint

Please Note:

  • Any alcohol over the limit will be confiscated

  • No re-entry with alcohol is permitted

Safety & Responsible Drinking

Security will be in place to address any issues of anti-social behaviour. We ask all guests to:

  • Drink responsibly

  • Dispose of cans and rubbish in the recycling and bin facilities provided on site

Reduce Our Carbon Footprint

As part of Salford Pride’s enhanced health & safety measures and our commitment to reducing our carbon footprint, the following items will not be allowed in the event space:

  • Glass or glass bottles

  • Single-use plastics (food and soft drink packaging)

Tips for Bringing Soft Drinks:

  • Bring soft drinks in cans or cartons

  • Empty reusable water bottles are encouraged – water refill stations will be available on site

Tips for Bringing Food:

  • Use non-plastic wrappers or containers for snacks and meals (including crisps and sweets)

  • Food donation boxes will be available for any long-life, non-perishable items, which will be donated to a local food bank

Please help us look after our lovely festival site by using the bins and recycling facilities provided. Don’t leave your rubbish behind – our amazing team works hard to keep the space beautiful, so let’s all do our bit and bin it, don’t leave it!

Prohibited Items & On-Site Rules

Items Not Permitted

  • Glass bottles or containers (perfume or aftershave is permitted in 50ml bottles or less.

  • Sharp objects (e.g., knives, scissors)

  • Barbecues, fire pits, or open flames

  • Temporary structures, tents, plastic garden furniture (folding chairs and blankets are allowed)

  • Shopping trolleys, large carts, or hard-shell suitcases

  • Bicycles and scooters (excluding mobility scooters)

  • Confetti and confetti cannons

  • Gas canisters, petrol, or other flammable substances

  • Illegal drugs (possession or use will result in immediate removal)

Lets follow the rules whilst having fun!

Bag Checks & Security

Security checks will be carried out at the entrance to ensure the safety of all guests.

  • Bag searches are mandatory, and entry may be refused if you decline a search.

  • To help speed up entry times, we recommend bringing a clear bag where possible.

  • Ensure alcohol is visible on entry and is limited to x4 cans per adult

  • Any medication needs to be correctly labelled with the guests name on the packaging.

  • Perfume and aftershave must be in bottles 50ml or smaller, deodorant and aerosol sprays are allowed.

  • Sun tan cream or lotion is permitted into the event space.

  • Bags larger than 50cm x 50cm will not be permitted inside the event.

    • Cooler bags within size limits are permitted (those on wheels will be permitted).

    • Shopping trolleys, suitcases, and large carts are not allowed.

Pets are welcome at The Pink Picnic

The Pink Picnic is a pet-friendly event however we do ask that pets are kept on a lead at all times.

Pets should be comfortable with large crowds, other pets and children.

Please ensure to clean up after your pet and dispose of any waste in the correct bins.

Salford Pride are not responsible for any issues that arise on the day with pets. Guests bring their pets as their own risk.
